»Political Philosophy and the Israeli-Palestinian Conflict« (mit Yitzhak Benbaji)
Projektbeschreibung
The last two decades or so have witnesses significant progress in three topics in political philosophy: (1) territorial rights, (2) group rights, in particular the right to national self-determination, and (3) just war theory. The purpose of our book project is to use the research on these topics in order to offer a fresh look on key points of disagreement regarding the Jewish- or the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

Forschungskontext
2013 war Daniel Statman auf Einladung der DFG-Kollegforschergruppe »Justitia Amplificata. Rethinking Justice − Applied and Global« Fellow am Forschungskolleg Humanwissenschaften. 2023 arbeitet er auf Einladung des Direktors des Forschungskollegs Humanwissenschaften Matthias Lutz-Bachmann am Kolleg. Sein Aufenthalt wird gefördert von der Stiftung zur Förderung der Internationalen Beziehungen der Goethe-Universität.
